Finding something you have lost!

(with thanks to Ian for forwarding this very interesting item)

Occasionally, Tarot readers are asked about lost or stolen objects, where they can find a lover or relationship, or perhaps which direction to move home or work. Horary Astrology comes to the rescue.

At an elemental level, where an item can be found is fairly self-explanatory.

Places of objects
Middle height or level, near a wall, by a fire or heat source, near something that is iron or steel.
On the ground, floor level, in the earth. By a bridge. Concrete or pavements. Upper level, above ground, upstairs, near windows, fresh air.
In water, lowlands, near moisture. Fountains, bathrooms, oil tanks, liquid containers.

The Triplicities indicate how easy something can be found:

Triplicity      Finding the Object
Angular The lost object is where it ought to be: nearby, quick and easy to find
Succedent       The object is not in its usual place, and will take longer to find. However, it is usually nearby, outside, or in an outbuilding such as a garage, or in the garden
Cadent  Either far off, or close by, but hidden and almost impossible to find. This will take time to find, usually indirectly by a third party

The zodiac signs narrow down the direction:

Direction by Sign
Aries: East     Leo: E by N     Sagittarius: E by S
Taurus: S by E  Virgo: S by W   Capricorn: South
Gemini: W by S  Libra: West     Aquarius: W by N
Cancer: North   Scorpio: N by E Pisces: N by W

The Houses follow the compass directions:

Direction by House
1st: East       2nd: ENE        3rd: NNE
4th: North      5th: NNW        6th: WNW
7th: West       8th: WSW        9th: SSW
10th: South     11th: SSE       12: ESE
