Islamic supernatural beliefs
I received the following in an e-mail from Youssef in Morocco.
I think it's great to have insight into other beliefs.
If you follow the link the the Editor's Page you will find a link to a great BBC website that provides and overview of the beliefs and traditions of the major world religious traditions.
In the meantime, thanks Youssef for the following contribution

Youssef says ...
We as Muslims believe that there are alien lifeforms called JINNS that are not visible to ordinary human sight. There are people, who through some strange favour, have "been in league with the JINNS" to such a degree that the JINNS have endowed them with what we regard as "supernatural powers". These humans have consequently become known as wonder-workers, soothsayers, and magicians - either white or black magicians depending on what sort of JINNS they were in league with.
Thank you so much for your contribution Youssef ... it's really great to hear about other's beliefs
